Before sojo: A typical turn-day

On a typical summer Saturday, the team at 360 Blue is in a turn-day time crunch, flipping upwards of 800 homes in the span of about 6 hours. At 4+ bedrooms per property, every second counts if they’re going to pull it off in time.

Preparation: The team sets out to gather all the bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and other travel-size amenities from their piles of storage boxes. Before sojo, the team at 360 packed all their amenities and created all kitchen packs by hand, making preparation a very labor-intensive process. It took 6-8 employees around 8 hours each to make all the packs, roll trash bags, etc. At the time, 360 Blue had a team of 14, so roughly half of the staff was devoting a whole day to this process. Once they have the product in hand, the team transfers all items into cellophane bag kits for transport to large, luxury properties across a 100-mile stretch of Florida beach.

Delivering a curated, luxury experience to guests at more than 800 properties, with just a few hours to execute, is a daunting task. The powerhouse housekeeping team was doing an amazing job under pressure, but 360 Blue wanted to help alleviate some of that stress. Following sojo’s two-step process, 360 Blue connected its reservation calendar and browsed sojo’s amenity catalog, deciding which products were needed at each specific vacation rental property. Preparation: Instead of sorting through boxes and boxes of stored shampoos and conditioners, amenities now arrive pre-kitted and packaged up specifically for each and every reservation. With these new efficiencies in place, it takes 360 Blue 2-4 employees a day or two to organize and prep amenity packs — and that’s during the heavy Saturday Spring Break, Summer, and Fall Break weeks. During non-peak times of the year, 360 Blue can usually knock preparation out with 2 people in a day or less.

Installation: Beyond improving the preparation process, 360 has saved notable time when it comes to cleaning. 360’s housekeeping teams are set up for speedy success as they unpack amenity products from each property's reservation box. The products in each box are clearly labeled and color-coded by room, making the process as simple as can be. With these product placement efficiencies, the team now spends around 5-10 minutes on each home.
